The asymmetric semi-permeable membrane is made by a special process, which allows small molecules and beneficial trace elements to pass through the membrane under pressure, while large molecules and bacteria are trapped outside. It also effectively adsorbs chlorinated hydrocarbons, organophosphorus and carbamate pesticides, as well as phenyl ether, n-nitrochlorobenzene, naphthalene, ethylene, phenol, DDT and esters and aromatic hydrocarbon compounds. Removes colour, odour and taste from water.
